The game, which was made famous by its second sequel. The sequel had a better graphics, but the story is was almost unchanged. In this game you play as Ryu - Street Fighter. Your goal is to travel to five countries (Japan, USA, England, China and Thailand) and in each of them, beat two opponents. If you manage to defeat all of them, you get to the final boss Sagat (who also appears in sequel as the one before the last boss). If you manage to beat the Sagat you win the game. After that you can try the fights from the beginning, but with a harder difficulty.
