The game, which was made famous by its second sequel. The sequel had a better graphics, but the story is was almost unchanged. In this game you play as Ryu - Street Fighter. The World Street Martial Arts Championship is here! Ryu from Japan has never participated in one of these but would really like to win. However, duels in five countries with ten equally motivated opponents stand between him and the championship title. Your goal is to travel to five countries (Japan, USA, England, China and Thailand) and in each of them, beat two opponents. If you manage to defeat all of them, you get to the final boss Sagat (who also appears in sequel as the one before the last boss). If you manage to beat the Sagat you win the game. After that you can try the fights from the beginning, but with a harder difficulty. Every fighter you face is a distinct personality, which is shown by their appearance and their own fighting techniques. And so the British punk Birdie included elements of fighting with boxing in his combos, and the Thai Eagle wields bamboo sticks according to the principles of Filipino martial arts. Multiplayer here serves only as a one-match qualifier between two players, which will decide which of them will face off against the AI in subsequent matches around the world.
