Once again you take a role of a brutal taxi driver, who drive in a fully armed car and trying to shoot down everything around. Game Quarantine 2: Road Warrior very nicely builds on its predecessor and has improved many things that might upset you in the first part. For example, there is no longer the boring part, where you ride passengers with your taxi, but every action is similar to fights with the main bosses in the first part. Just like in Quarantine, in Road Warrior we will sit behind the wheel of a taxi armed from the wheels to the roof. However, this game cannot be called a mere cut off of the success of the original. The program, which was prepared independently by GameTek, contains several interesting improvements.
In Quarantine II: Road Warrior, the motive of making money is completely abandoned, and therefore - the possibility of arming and repairing the car yourself. The transported passengers assign us various missions involving sabotage of operations carried out by the enemy OmniCorp. Thanks to this solution, the gameplay became very linear - in the original, the possibility of performing a sabotage action appeared only after transporting several customers.
Despite the lack of freedom that Quarantine offered, Road Warrior is more varied. This is influenced not only by interesting ideas regarding the scenario, but also by the variety of arenas in which we will have to drive a taxi. In addition to the city itself, there are also desert areas, villages, airports, factories and other interesting locations. Of course, there are also exquisite weapons that we can install on the hood of the car. The game offers many means of destruction that will help us exterminate other vehicles, passers-by, as well as criminals and OmniCorp employees. The program has not lost anything in terms of brutality - blood flows in streams with each person falling under the wheels of a murderous taxi.
The visuals have been significantly improved. In addition to the standard VGA mode, Road Warrior also offers an increased screen resolution that sharpens both the taxi's dashboard and the terrain seen through the glass. The authors also introduced several external views of the game action and the ability to look inside the car and check how the passenger reacts to our actions.
