Game review

Continuation of the famous game, which with its concept, where you steal cars, kill innocent civilians and fled the police, is certainly not pleased by any parent, but on the other hand, it brings a lot of fun for many hours. Your character's name is Claude Speed​​, who is trying to make some money in a city (somewhere in the U.S.). Since you don't know how to earn a lot of money legaly, you are gonna perform tasks for different gangs in the city. Compared to the first part, the arsenal of weapons has grown. Here you can already find, for example, grenades, Molotov cocktails, a shotgun, a stun gun and the like. The map is again extensive, so you have the opportunity to crawl through all the darkest alleys and look for, for example, GTA logos.

The city is divided into several parts, and each part of town you will find 3 gangs. For example, that you must demolish other cars, kill people for them, bribe policemen, and many tasks that are illegal and dangerous.  The game has a simple reputation system for each of them. Each faction controls a part of the city and its members then roam around their territory. By subsequently completing tasks for the faction of your choice, your reputation increases or decreases. You can tell on the street when gang members with whom you have a bad reputation start shooting at you. Originality and just such a view of the violence with a black humor is what makes this game so fun. The game has one more original idea and that is that you can play it by noon, or at night, and accordingly the whole game changes its tone and coloring.

Admittedly, the deep black humor that runs through GTA 2 and goes beyond the boundaries of good taste more than once is certainly not for everyone. Commendably, the Rockstar development team once again manages to exaggerate the violence prevalent in the city so unrestrainedly that the satirical intention should be clear to even the last skeptic. Otherwise, GTA 2 is basically a Grand Theft Auto in perfection - nothing more and nothing less. Graphics, sound and gameplay are clearly improved compared to its predecessor, the pace is still breathtaking - and the anarchistic metal and street battles have always been addictive. A surefire tip in the truest sense of the word for anyone who found Driver too good and Gangsters too dull.
