Commander Keen 6: Aliens Ate My Baby Sitter! is a platform game, the sixth in the Commander Keen series as a whole. Molly, the babysitter of Billy "Commander Keen" Blaze (an eight-year-old genius) has been kidnapped by the Bloogs from the planet Fribbulus Xax, for purely gastronomical purposes. Keen must set out to Fribbulus Xax to save her! The game begins with a top-down map of the Fribbulus Xax. This is the level select screen, where Billy can walk around and the player can choose the next level they want to enter; however, some places on the map require the player to find specific items (such as a grappling hook) to get through. On each level, Billy has to make his way to the exit. Once a level is completed, Billy ends up back on the overhead map. …read more

The sixth volume about the adventures of the intrepid astronaut Keen does not offer much new. It's still the familiar one, well-playable, same-looking (even in color) and still ready to save the entire galaxy (or specific people). The only thing that has really changed is that instead of drops in the fourth part, flies are collected here, but the purpose is still the same, one life for 100 flies. Enemies have also undergone a change, which received a new form, but others are already purely from the level of cosmetic modifications. From my point of view it is so good.

Everything essential has been preserved. Gameplay (using the classic triple combination of keys), jumpers and phaser (or whatever it is), balanced difficulty, levels in the form of houses through which you have to fight your way to the end and in which you have to collect diamonds of four colors and flip levers. Also, the typical feeling and nerves on the march when you make a bad jump on an arriving/departing platform with the last life remained... Moreover, the game includes a save/load system, which was not quite usual for a platformer of that time.
