Commander Keen: Keen Dreams is a platform game. Its events take place after Commander Keen 3: Keen Must Die! but before Commander Keen 4: Secret of the Oracle.  The final installment of Ken's adventures. In this installment, Keen no longer saves the galaxy like in the two previous trilogies. After saving the Galaxy, Keen explains to his mom that he doesn't have to eat vegetables. After a small argument, mom sends him to his room, he goes to bed and falls asleep. And this is where our adventure begins, because this entire episode takes place in Keen's dream.

In his dream, the protagonist will fight with all kinds of mutated vegetables and fruits, to destroy them you will no longer use the laser gun known from previous episodes, but you will throw stones at the enemies, which unfortunately will not destroy them, but only stun them for a short time, that is, in most cases you need to run quickly to safety. Unfortunately, Keen won't even get the so-called "pogo stick" (for higher jumps) in this part, so you'll have to rely only on his legs.

Keen's main task in this episode is to destroy the evil king Boobus Tuber and the dream machine. Bombs, which you collect throughout the game and which you will finally use in the final battle, will help you with this.

As in the previous parts, you travel between individual levels using the main map, where you can choose the level you're in the mood for. The graphics also remained the same as in the previous works and the sound system did not change significantly.
