Turrican II: The Final Fight is the sequel to the first part of the action platformer from the Cologne studio Factor 5, which became very famous thanks to this series. Like the previous installment, The Final Fight was originally released on a number of platforms such as Commodore 64, Amiga, ZX Spectrum or Atari ST. This time, however, the creators also thought of players using the MS-DOS operating system, when the game saw its re-release, but only four long years later. The game itself is now considered a classic, and like other great Amiga games (Shadow of the Beast, The Chaos Engine) has achieved cult status. The excellent musical background by Chris Hülsbeck deserves a special mention. The plot, although not very important for this type of game, is very simple. Robot The Machine attacked the planet Ship Avalon 1, killing all survivors except for Bren McGuire, who managed to obtain the experimental Turrican armor with which he hopes to thwart the robot's plans. Like most action platformers from the early nineties, the second Turrican is very difficult.
