While the whole world enthusiastically knocked down pedestrians in Carmageddon, somewhere in the background, the very original and cute Twisted Metal project disappeared, but it absolutely deserved attention. The essence is the same - a large (or not), a tooth-armed car, an arena and a number of contenders for the main prize. However, the Twisted Metal series differs from Carmageddon in one atmospheric function - it is much closer to Deathmatch than any other similar game. The arenas are small enough and the encounter of opponents is aimed at the effective and complete destruction of the enemy. There is a wide range of vehicles to choose from with different characteristics, each with one unique weapon at its disposal. Most arenas represent well-known cities such as New York, Paris or Moscow. The goal of the game is, of course, to stay last alive, ie "Last man standing". There is also a choice of Story Mode, where you have to succeed in the tournament when you finally face the main boss - the legendary ice cream truck Sweet Tooth, and its owner - a crazy clown named Needles Kane.
