Your objective in the game is to establish and manage the most successful and profitable transportation company. Utilize trains, trucks, ships, and planes to transport goods among various factories, distribution centers, and power stations. It's also important to consider the well-being of citizens, for which you have access to buses, trains, ships, and planes.

For those seeking a more challenging experience, you can introduce competition. The game allows the computer to control rival companies, which can significantly increase the difficulty of your mission. However, adept players have the opportunity to outperform and potentially acquire these competing companies if they choose to do so (a feat I achieve daily).

The game spans from 1950 to 2050. As time progresses, you will access new vehicles, while needing to replace older ones, especially after 2010 when the options become particularly interesting. Additionally, the game's factories evolve over time.

Transport Tycoon Deluxe features four distinct types of terrain. The first three represent different regions of the world, while the fourth offers a fictional, whimsical landscape where you deal with toy manufacturing, plastic mines, confectionery production, bubble creation, and other such fanciful activities.

Transport Tycoon is a game that promises a great deal of enjoyment and doesn't show its age. It comes highly recommended!
