In The Terminator 2029, John Connor's Special Operations Group is engaged in a war with machines led by Skynet. The player takes control as one of Connor's resistance fighters as they work to destroy Skynet. The player begins as a Sergeant and can gain higher ranks such as Captain, Major, and Lieutenant Colonel. The story based on the well-known film introduces us to 2029, when the world is on the brink of destruction and there is a war between the machines that control the intelligent Skynet system and the rest of the surviving humanity. In the game, you take on the role of one of the members of John Connor's unit, who puts on his ACA (Advanced Combat Armor) and sets out to meet the enemies and the tasks assigned to you by each of the missions. After completing all the tasks, the enemies are defeated and the world is saved. Each mission, of which there are 19 in total, is preceded by a welcome briefing that guides you through your task, with the tasks usually consisting of destroying or shooting a certain strategic point of the enemy. After suiting up in your armored armor, you can see the ruined landscape in front of you through the visor with a scope, you also have a map and a radar at your disposal. The ACA has exchange slots for weapons that can be swapped between each other during combat. The game is seen from a first-person perspective, with the ability to rotate 90°, and is the second title from developers Bethesda Softworks, which is based on the licensed film Terminator.
