The Sum of all Fears is a tactical shooter similar to the Rainbow six series and the game is based on the 2002 film of the same name. The game's first two missions take place sometime during the film, in which the FBI Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) works to save hostages in a Charleston, West Virginia television station, and shut down operations from a West Virginian militia calling themselves the "Mountain Men". From the third mission on, John Clark recruits the team to work for the CIA and has the operatives work on seeking out and killing the conspirators behind an incident in Baltimore, Maryland, in which a nuclear bomb has been detonated during an American football game, killing a large number of people. With a three-member elite team of agents, you must eliminate terrorists, rescue hostages and foil the plans of any nefarious elements in 11 missions. Tasks are scattered all over the world, so you can look, for example, in African mines or the Middle East. It should be noted that you will spend most of your time indoors. The team members, their equipment and the planned route cannot be changed, everything is preset. There are two more single player modes in the game. On the maps known from the campaign, instead of classic tasks, you can simply shoot everything (Firefight) or just shoot your way through/sneak into the rescue zone (Lone Wolf). There are many more modes and settings in multiplayer (Domination, King of The Hill and many others).
