Sink or Swim
DOS game, 1993
Sink or Swim, a puzzle game released in 1993 for DOS, captures the essence of strategic thinking and quick reflexes. Players take on the role of Kevin Codner, a rescue operative, who must save passengers from a series of increasingly challenging scenarios aboard a sinking ship. Each level is a complex puzzle requiring careful planning and timely execution. The game was published by the British studio Zeppelin Games and created for Genesis, Game Gear, Amiga, PC and SNES computers. The game takes place on the SS Lucifer ship. As luck would have it, the ship is sinking. Your task is to save scientists from the sinking ship. Scientists, but probably in theory. If the ship is sinking, you should evacuate, but these clever scientists are running around without any order and order. And you must help them get off this ship. The game contains 60 levels in which Kevin must save as many survivors as possible. At the beginning of the game, castaways fall out of a pipe and, similar to Lemmings, you have to prepare a clear path for them to the end of the level. In the role of Kevin, you will break through crates with bombs, possibly move them with a crane, repair pipes through which deadly hot steam escapes or, for example, switch levers so that moving belts travel in the right direction. You must plan everything in such a way as to save as many scientists as possible. Sink or Swim is great fun. We need to think a little and at the same time reflexes will come in handy. The game's graphics are good, but the sound can be a bit annoying while playing. Overall, very nice entertainment after a stressful day. This game is worth playing.
