Today is the day, we have waited for a month - the final of World Cup, so I couldn't resist and decided to add another football/soccer game - On the Ball: World Cup Edition. This is not a classic sports game, where you control the players, but it's rather about managing your team and lead it to the World Cup final - football manager game. On the Ball does not belong to the group of comprehensive football manager games, where you have to move your team from underdogs to the football elite in one season, but OtC focuses on the funniest part of the game - buying, selling, and managing top players. The game name suggests that this is a version dedicated to the world cup. You can choose where it will take place (FIFA 2014 World Cup finals are in Brasil, so I have chosen Brasil too), choose a team and the country of origin. The game focuses primarily on the fun side of the game, so all the boring statistics and tables are hidden from the eyes of the player, but they are still available for advanced players, if you appreciate sophisticated football managers. The whole game is processed in the film style and it's full of pretty pictures that document your progress in the game. On the Ball is not intended just for fans of football managers, but due to its presentation, gameplay and perfect delivery it is also ammusing for other players.
