When you remeber old DOS games, few pop into your mind - Wolf, Dune and of course Prince of Persia. Prince of Persia 3D is a direct sequel to Prince of Persia and Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame. The game is played, similar to Tomb Raider, from a third-person perspective. Unfortunately, the transfer of the sequel to the third dimension did not benefit the game in any way. For financial reasons, Red Orb Entertainment was forced to release the game before it was properly tested and tweaked, and apparently for those reasons, it contains a lot of bugs and flaws. Among the biggest ones are the confused camera and slow reactions of the protagonist to the controls. Also, the graphics page was not state-of-the-art at the time of release. The story si typical: The Prince, along with Sultan is visiting the Sultan's brother Assan. However, he sets a trap for both of them, captures Sultan and throws Prince into prison. After escaping from prison, the Prince discovers that his beloved Princess is also being held captive and forced to marry Assan's son Rugnor. Meanwhile, the Sultan is killed by Assan, so the Prince sets out to rescue the Princess and avenge the death of the Sultan.
