Action Fighter is a racing action arcade game originally released for the Sega console in 1986. The title is inspired by Spy Hunter. You take on the role of a secret agent tasked with destroying a boss at the end of each of the five top-down levels. At the beginning of each mission, you get a small motorcycle armed with a cannon. At first, the bike is weak, but occasionally a SEGA truck will appear in the game, and if you drive into it, it will reward you with a new weapon. First with the second cannon, then the rocket launcher, then the rear cannon, and finally temporary indestructibility. As you zigzag through traffic, you collect the letters A to F, with the letter D transforming the motorbike into a sports car that is more durable than a motorbike but attracts more attention from enemies. After collecting the letter F, the car turns into a plane and takes off from the road, turning the game into a classic aerial shooter. The goal of the game is to record the highest possible score, which you get by destroying enemies, civilian vehicles and also collecting special flags. After reaching every 10,000 points, you get an extra life.
